It's Easter!

Very Simply: We had a great Easter egg hunt with the family and ate way too much food and candy.  Enjoy the bright colors despite the somewhat gloomy day.  It's always exciting to see the fun of the hunt through the kids eyes.  Growing up, we used to have Easter egg hunts through  most of the month of April to prepare for the big day.  The eggs were much simpler then, and we used Leggs pantyhose eggs, and they worked just fine!

Ella Marie: Newborn Session

Little Ella Marie did a beautiful job posing for her first photo shoot this weekend!  Ella was just 9 days old when these were taken.  My first true newborn shoot, and a very sweet addition to the blog I think.  Her big brother Max had his pictures up here on the blog in the Fall.  He is really growing up and is going to be a great big brother.  Ella's mom, Lori, had great props for us to use.  The little bracelet has apparently been in the family since she and her sister were babies.  And what newborn shoot is complete without the huge flower hat?  I had a great time getting these photos and catching up with old friends as we did the session.  Can't wait to watch these little ones grow up!

Ladybugs and Grass Seed

Spring has sprung on the Pfaffenberger homestead - what little of it there is.  Recently I have spent too much time cooped up indoors.  So today I forced myself to grab my camera and see what I could find outside - despite the clouds left from the morning storm.  Our neighbors have cute little dogwood trees - at least I think that's what they are. I found some nice new buds opening up across the street.  My husband planted grass seed a little over a week ago in the patches that our dog likes to dig up, so he was excited to see the new blades of grass popping up today after our overnight rain.
I always enjoy how photography forces one to be patient - wait for the wind to stop blowing.  And to be more observant - can you spot the little creature in the photo?  I wouldn't have known that ladybug was there if I wasn't taking the time to shoot today.   Nature photography always makes me wish I had a macro lens.
I hope you enjoy the few glimpses of Spring out there today.

BUTLER and Rhinestones

So unless you've been living under a rock you may have heard about a little thing called the NCAA basketball tournament.  Now, I am not a huge sports fan, but living in Indianapolis you have to follow basketball, especially when it's in your own back yard.  I did not go to Butler University but let me just list off those that I know who did:
My sister, my cousin, my sister in law, several ladies I've coached, etc.  So suffice it to say, I've jumped on the bandwagon.  So I went to campus, waded my way through the throngs of people in the bookstore and grabbed this T-shirt.  I took it home and got a little crafty to make it more fun!  Here's my Butler support!!  I wore it on Saturday for the Win, and I'll be wearing it again today - hope the luck has stuck!
GO DAWGS!
