Every now and then it is good to take a break from the daily grind and do something creative just for yourself. I have found that getting away from things I "have" to do and adding a few things I "want" to do can make all the difference in keeping myself motivated and inspired. I have seen so many great photographs, great poses, great locations, and great styling that I just had to put them to good use. This shoot was totally for fun. Totally for our own enjoyment, and totally to be creative.
About a month ago I met with a few young ladies that I knew from my time with the dance team. They have started journeying through the uncertainty that is college life and I knew they would be open to playing around in front of the camera for me. These three ladies are best friends and even recently got coordinating tattoos! They are very supportive of one another and their friendship shines through in these images.
We had a few meetings to prepare the wardrobe and location. The girls got ready at my house and my front room looked like what I envision the wardrobe closet at a major fashion magazine looks like. (Ugly Betty + Devil Wears Prada + Charlotte Russe = my own youthful editorial fashion fantasy). Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day. These ladies did such a great job, I hope everyone enjoys the images.

Make Way...Class of 2013 Seniors
When I began my photography business, I never could have imagined the
way my world would explode with new opportunities, new friends, new
ideas, and new challenges. Most importantly photography has brought
some very cool people into my world. I met Giovanna Mandel of Amici Photography
at a photography course in Indianapolis. She invited me to join one of
her photography facebook groups. Since that time I have helped her
shoot a wedding and recently she asked me to help shoot some promo shots
for the Zionsville Class of 2013. Here are a few of the images we
captured of the day. Some very sweet (and very goofy) young ladies. It is so nice to see their strong bond of friendship. Good luck with this
last year of high school!!
