Re-living the Holidays, Shall We?
Let's see, where did I leave off?...
Ah yes, the fall photography season. Starting in October and November, families start to think about Christmas cards and holiday gifts. Below are a few family sessions that I took in preparation for 2011 holiday season. Nothing is more exciting than being able to give families those heirloom photos that will live on for years in framed gifts and holiday greeting cards.

Look What Santa Brought!
I have got to say that I have some of the best most supportive family on
the planet. #1 to support this photography endeavor and #2 to go along
with it so far as to help me build my business. My husband has allowed
me to take over 2 rooms in our house for photography! One for office space, and another for a growing studio Not only that,
he purchased me my new camera for Christmas! The Pièce de résistance :
Canon's 5D Mark II! I have been drooling over this camera ever since I
knew what it was and what it could do. I had finally settled on
purchasing it for myself after the holidays - but it was under the tree
on Christmas day. What a surprise! You're going to have to settle for a
photo of the box because I was too busy shooting with it to photograph
it :)
I also picked up these cuties to help save money and energy in the future. Aren't these batteries the cutest? - glitter and everything! They are all rechargeable and can even be converted into C and D batteries. Check out Sanyo's Eneloop batteries and chargers if you're in the market.
As I said I've been given the permission to convert an extra bedroom into a studio space for Adrienne Nicole Photography. I still love my natural light settings best, but let's face it, it's not very practical to shoot outside in the winter or rainy seasons. Never you mind the decor, that will gradually evolve. The space may look bare bones now, but I'm curious to see what it looks like a year from now!
Complete with Serendipity Backgrounds, Westcott and Manfroto stands I am up and running. Much of what you see is thanks to my generous family and Santa Claus. Now who wants to come over and play?!!

Back on Track
The blog has taken a bit of a backseat to other events in my life like buying a new home, fixing up a new home, adopting the habits of an extreme couponer, and adopting a new dog with health concerns, all while continuing my day job as a therapist and building my photography portfolio. The start to the new year is a great place to get back on track and post some of my favorite images from 2011.
July was huge for us! The first weekend of the month I had two weddings to shoot as well as turning our house upside down and moving into the new place. I know, I'm a tad insane. Pardon my blog delay, but I am resolving to step it up in 2012 - aren't we all?!
july : {weddings}
Danielle and Bryce were married at the lovely Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel, IN. Their pug Poey played a very special role in the day. These two are such a fun loving and easy going couple. Thanks to Katie Destry for second shooting with me on this one.

The following day I woke up, repacked my gear and was off again for Kathy and Eric's Westfield wedding. The two were married in his grandfather's church in Kempton, IN, and the reception was at The Fern in Westfield.
august, september : {cute kiddos}
The summer months were great for child photography. I photographed Mr. McKinley who is getting so big. We were shooting photos for his 1st birthday announcements. Adalyn was also celebrating her first birthday, and her mom made all of her outfits and hair bows. Check out Cutie BowTootie to get your hands on her cute stuff. I know I have 3 or 4 of her flower clips and headbands for myself. Colton and his friends got together for a fun shoot to kick off the Fall weather as well. Colton's family even inspired me to test out some new products - Keepsake Accordion Mini Albums. Check them out below as well.
October : {baby season}
As a gift to her family, Kristy wanted to gift newborn photos of her new niece. Little Miss Brooklyn was born this Fall and we had a great time shooting her newborn session a few weeks later. Brooklyn was so precious, and we got some great shots. Kristy is such a proud aunt!
I had the extreme pleasure of photographing an old grade school and high school friend's maternity session at the end of September. I mean Emily and I go way back... girl scouts, dance recitals, boy bands, you name it. Emily and Kyle welcomed their little boy Colton to the world in October. Congratulations to you both!
It was a wonderfully busy Fall season for me and I wouldn't have it any other way. I still have some more catching up to do, but I didn't want to lose everyone in a terribly long blog post. I hope you enjoy seeing these photos once again.
