This
week I live in one of the most exciting places on earth. Super Bowl
XLVI is being hosted by Indianapolis, and I was lucky enough to have a
great opportunity to experience the festivities for over 12 hours on
Friday. I'm very proud to say that I live in what may prove to be the best Super Bowl host cities ever. My grandmother even helped knit those blue and while scarves worn by the host committee! My husband produces the Smiley Morning Show and they were
broadcasting live from downtown on Friday. I woke up with him at 4am and
headed downtown. It was awesome to wander the city and actually find
some amount of solitude in this busy football mecca. I was one of the only people
on the circle. I grabbed some shots of the crowds awaiting the Today
Show taping, street performers in the Super Bowl Village, and of course
the behind the scenes look of the Smiley Morning Show remote. Keep your
eyes out for Al Roker and Jenna Wolfe from the Today Show, as well as
Mayor Greg Ballard. If you haven't had a chance to check out the city,
you should try to get down there! I highly recommend checking it out
before dawn, although time is running out. If you're not willing to
brave the craziness in Indy, I hope these photos make you feel like you
were there!!
(ps...go Giants) :)
