Indy Fringe {2013 Indy Fringe Festival}

As I am writing this, it is currently raining ice from the sky.  But let's not think about that, let's remember when it was warm and we were able to walk around Mass Ave. Indianapolis in shorts and tank tops!  The 2013 Indy Fringe festival was a fabulous and eclectic mix of the region's most interesting and passionate artists.  From dancers to singers, to performance artists to actors or magicians and many more, the streets and theaters were filled with performances for 2 weeks straight.  Here are a few of the images I captured as part of the Festival's media coverage! Avon's Distinguished Young Women 2013-2014

One of the most exciting events I was asked to participate in this summer was Avon's Distinguished Young Women Program (formerly Jr. Miss).  This is a scholarship program to showcase talented young women about to enter their last year of high school.  I was a participant when I was in high school and have been active on and off with the committee in the past.  They have a full summer of fundraising, and community service, a full week of rehearsals and show prep, followed by a lengthly program right before school starts.  Ask any of these young ladies, if you are considering participating… DO IT, you won't' regret it!  Meet the amazing, talented and brave contestants of the Class of 2014.  This year's winner was Madelyn Hayes.  The state competition is THIS week in Frankfort, IN.  Good Luck Madelyn!

Rock Out

Today was another great day for a photo shoot.  I spent the early afternoon with Lara and her son Tyler.  Tyler is getting started with his new band and needed some promotional photos.  Thanks to this photo shoot I also got to see all the cool new locations in the new expanded Avon Park, aka Washington Township Park.  I really had to work at finding my edgy rocker side - and Tyler's.  I hope we pulled it off!
