Indy Fringe {2013 Indy Fringe Festival}

As I am writing this, it is currently raining ice from the sky.  But let's not think about that, let's remember when it was warm and we were able to walk around Mass Ave. Indianapolis in shorts and tank tops!  The 2013 Indy Fringe festival was a fabulous and eclectic mix of the region's most interesting and passionate artists.  From dancers to singers, to performance artists to actors or magicians and many more, the streets and theaters were filled with performances for 2 weeks straight.  Here are a few of the images I captured as part of the Festival's media coverage! Abby & Nate {Indianapolis Engagement Photography}

Love is in the air.  I love the challenge of getting couples to open up and show their true emotion toward one another in front of the camera.  Abby and Nate were a blast to work with and I think we really captured their personalities.  Downtown Indianapolis was a particularly important setting for these images as the couple now calls Indy home.  I love the colors in these images.  Best of luck to them as they plan their wedding this June!  Congratulations!!

Riley Hospital For Children {Remember Me Now}

One of the greatest things I think I can do as a human being is give.  I want to always be in a position to have enough to give to other people, and share and invest in their lives.  In 2013 I was asked to join a very special program at Riley Hospital for Children called "Remember Me Now".  This is a program funded through the Riley Children's Foundation and Women for Riley.  This program provides professional photography for critically or terminally ill children and their families free of charge.  The sessions take place in a child's hospital room.  I usually have to suit up for isolation precautions.  Many of these families have lived at the hospital or the Ronald Mcdonald house for weeks if not months while their child fights for their life.  I have had the distinct honor of giving some of these families their first, and for others, their last, family portraits.  I have not posted sooner because of the acuteness of what these families have gone through.  I feel that enough time has passed to respectfully celebrate these awesome children and parents in these images.  I also want to shine the light on the great program at Riley.  I hope that "Remember Me Now" can continue to be funded through the foundation grants.

Serendipity

Sometimes the Universe conspires, through a series of seemingly random events, to put you in the path of awesome people.  After putting a call out for dancers for a shoot earlier, which you can view here, I met the Blevins family.  I worked with Angela, mom, when she needed some headshots for work and she also wanted to purchase some of the earlier dance images.  She contacted me again in November to photograph her whole family as she begins to organize her house for the holidays and for her oldest's graduation open house this spring.  They are a great family and I had a great time photographing all of them.  I hope you enjoy these images.

Sydney {Avon Class of 2013} Senior Portraits

You have probably seen Sydney grace the pages of my blog, website and Facebook several times in recent years.  Sydney is a very gifted dancer and we have had several opportunities to work together through dance or photography.  She and her mom were excited to shoot her senior portraits.  I was excited to have them as some of my first clients in my new studio downtown.  I hope you all love Sydney's photos.  We had a great time shooting them.  We eeked out the very last bits of October sunlight outside with the final shots of this series.  Enjoy!

Chad & Liam {Indianapolis Wedding Photography}

After a whirlwind trip to New York, Chad and Liam were officially married in Central Park.  They returned home to celebrate with friends and family at the Fountain Square Theatre.  The party was awesome, people were on the dance floor long after the reception's official time frame.  They had friends pitch in all over to help celebrate including the cake, the decor, the DJ, and yes, even the photography.  Chad and Liam have been friends for several years now.  I'm so glad I could help them celebrate and capture their day in photographs.  Here you go guys, a few sneak peeks - I was really feeling the black and white on these images!!

Anna : {Class of 2013 Senior Portraits}

Meet the first Adrienne Nicole Photography Senior Representative for the class of 2013!  Anna's session had to be rescheduled at least once due to weather, and we had to time her session just perfectly to avoid 2 rounds of pop up showers.  We started out on Mass Ave Downtown, and then traveled back to a nearby outdoor location.  Anna did a great job.  She has been taking pointers from America's Next Top Model, and you might just see her on that show some day, she definitely knows how to work it!  Anna has a passion for the arts, like photography, and dance.  Here are a few of Anna's Senior Portraits, Enjoy!
