So the story goes that Chris and Amber were introduced at a Decemberist's concert. They were introduced by a friend and their story blossomed from there. The creativity and uniqueness of this couple was apparent in every aspect of their wedding. According to their program, "For the decorations we folded cranes because in Japan, it is commonly said that folding 1000 paper origami cranes makes a person's wish come true. The crane in Japan is one of the mystical creatures that is said to live for a thousand years." They had custom printed invitations by a friend, a custom ice sculpture incorporating the cranes, also by a friend. And a toast incorporating their love story through clay sculpture.
